Our FAVOURITE nursery rhymes & games for babies / toddlers

Leyton’s Mumma Says…

Most of my Mumma friends and I tend to do a bit of singing when we’re together – not due to our songbird voices (!) but it seems to be a quick way of calming down a toddler meltdown or a crying baby. There’s always the same few we come back to that go down well, some of which we learnt at baby classes and were told they aid coordination and motor skills, some of which are family favourites, and others were picked up at Baby Rhyme Time type classes. There are millions of ‘active’ (using motions) songs, rhymes and verbal games out there, but here’s our TOP 10 so please see what you think of our list below, and feel free to comment with your faves too!

(If you haven’t heard of these before, the best idea is to Google them to hear a tune! Some of these are better for younger babies, some for older babies so please use your own discretion and it’s always fun to adapt the actions!)
